Hello! My name is Vicky, and I’ve been an occupational therapist for 19 years. I work with patients following Neurological injuries (such as Stroke, Parkinson’s, MS, TBI), and with Orthopedic injuries (carpal tunnel, hip replacement, shoulder replacement, shoulder tendonitis). In 2008 I developed and implemented a post-therapy exercise group to allow patients to maintain the progress they’d made in therapy. I also became LSVT trained to rehabilitate patients with Neurological impairments (specifically Parkinson’s Disease) by following a protocol for improving their movement patterns. I’m honored by the opportunity to help increase one’s confidence and independence.
In 2020 I decided to integrate my clinical knowledge with my passion for health and fitness by becoming a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
As a trainer, my strength is working to provide clients with an individualized approach to training, a focus on biomechanics, injury prevention and increasing functional independence. I am so excited to meet you!
Favorite Travel Spot: tough to choose, but I’d have to say South Africa (France and Italy are a close second and third)
Favorite Food: Sushi Sushi Sushi
Fun Fact: my 3-year old thinks I’m the funniest person alive, and that is incredibly special to me. Also, I’m a firm believer in THIS:
